My grandfather was stationed in India and Indonesia during WWII; he brought back this dagger. It is classic kris style with wavy, damascus steel, blade. The handle is wood carved in the shape of, what appears to be a Guarda Lion (just a guess on my part) clutching a dagger behind its head. There is a band, over the tang, between the blade and handle; it's inset with white and orange rocks. I don't know what to call them besides polished rocks. They are translucent and are made from polished glass, for all I know. The sheath is also wood and is carved from top to bottom. I don't recognize the type of wood. It looks, to me, like some kind of soft wood, but I don't know. I think the condition is good for being at least 80 years old, but I'm not an expert. It has no rust or nicks, no chips or mold, no discoloration. It could use some tlc, though.
