Great condition solid rosewood curio cabinet lighted with glass shelving and doors. Purchased with the help of our decorator from a furniture store in the 80’s
Height 70 inchesWidth 14 inchesDepth 14 inches
Hi Harriet,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I am assuming you purchased this new in the 80s because while this cabinet combines the bold geometry, symmetry, and streamlined forms of the Art Deco aesthetic, it has mid/late 20th Century details in the glass doors and chrome hinges and pulls.
I'm not finding identical enough examples upon which to base an attribution but similar examples that have sold at auction have brought prices ranging from $700 to $1,000.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Art Deco style rosewood, glass and chrome cabinet
unattributed maker, circa 1980s
Of rectangular section with rounded sides and two parts, the front of each with double glass doors opening to a lighted adjustable glass shelved interior.
Height: 70 inches; width: 14 inches; depth: 14 inches
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition.
PROVENANCE: Purchased in the 1980s
$ 700-1,000*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.

Hi Harriet,
Mearto isn't a selling platform; if you tell me (generally, or the closest large city to you) where you're located, I may be able to suggest a few local venues or selling options.
Thanks,
Delia

Hi Harriet,
There are any number if small auction houses who might be able to help you sell this for a fee (a percentage of the final price) including Tremont Auctions, Kaminski Auctions, Doyle and Eldreds
Are you able to help me sell it?
