Blonde (faded and needs cleaning) mohair bear with growler (broken) Long arms, pinkish felt soles, excelsior stuffing visible on feet Brown glass eyes, sewn on nose and claws Joints are working Light weight for size Mohair is worn, especially on chest Careful repair of arms No pronounced hump on back Sweet expression No tags or buttons Fairly high set ears Has suitcase and very well preserved wool suits
This was my father’s teddy. My father was born in 1928. He was my Dad’s constant companion in New Haven, CT, during the Depression. His mother told me stories about the bear’s adventures when I was a little girl.
