14K setting marked 585 and unknown maker’s mark C.T.F. Red Coral carved into shape of Rose.
Was purchased in box marked Ellenbecker Jeweler Capitol Place. Have found this jewelry store has been in business for 70 years. Cannot say absolutely that box is original to ring, however.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely vintage ring. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis. The design of the ring and the rose cutting of the coral set in 14 kt gold is quite extraordinary. I would date the ring to have been made in the 1960s-1970s. It appears to be in good condition without any major signs of wear and use. Unfortunately I am not able to identify the makers mark CTF.
I believe that the ring would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers due to its charming design if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the rose ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
