Presumably not genuine

After examining the pictures of the coin submitted (1799 dollar), I must report this one is an obvious fake, most likely a fairly recent one made in China. We see these frequently now, mostly brought into the US by travelers from the SE Asia area. Not only is the visual appearance wrong (strike, die design, surface characteristics), the weight is also wrong as the coin is not made from the correct silver content. These have no value, and are technically illegal to hold in the U.S. Sorry to have to report this, but these obvious copies are becoming problematic today, as many potential collectors are fooled into thinking this is a real coin..
