This doll has short red curly hair with a blue satin and lace head bonnet (looks like a headband, but isn't). Her eyes open and close. She has her ears pierced, but no earrings. Her mouth is open and you can see her teeth. She has rosy cheeks. She is jointed. Her dress is blue satin (tiered?) with lace around the neck and a flower in the middle of the lace. She has lace around the hands, and at very bottom of the dress. I beliebe the dress has tieres but they are sewn in. The bottom of the dress has a ruffle abot 3 inches upwards fro the bottom of the dress. The dress has a blue satin waist tie with a flower on it. Underneath she is wearing a white satin tiered pantsuit with lace at the bottom of the legs, a white petticoat with with flowers and lace at the bottom, and underneath that she has a skin colored mesh looking tank top? She has knitted socks on with ivory/yellow colored tie up shoes. Her right hand, 4th finger is chipped. Her left hand seems to be in good condition. She has a dimple on her chin. It looks like her eyebrows, eyelashes, and lipstick were painted on. The back of the dress and all pieces underneath close with a small snap clousure. Her hair (wig) is a little smushed in the back and possibly knotted from laying down all of these years. My grandparent's (I am 47 now) owned an antique shop ( somewhere for 80-90 years ago) and they acquired this doll at some point. The marking on the back of her neck says DEP.
She is 18 inches tall, arm to arm 8 inches.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and for the additional photographs. The body of this doll is what is referred to as "composition," a substance that is harder than papier mache that would have been painted a flesh-tone. It's not uncommon for the composition to flake or peel.
