About 26” tall About 18” wide Brass and glass material
This lamp was purchased originally for the Hotel American in Kinsley, Kansas circa 1906. The owner of the hotel AJ Rapp passed it down to his family, which eventually came to me. We’re interested in learning more about it for appraisal. We have many photos.
Dear Sean,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The apprised object is a desk lamp with the measurements of 26” tall About 18” wide. the lamp is constructed out of brass pieces and colored glass shade. All pieces are decorated in the style of the Art Deco which uses soft and floral forms and designs. The metal parts were once colored and accented partially in a reddish color. Sadly we don't see a producer mark or label to identify the maker. This lamp was made around 1900. Such lamps are still wanted objects in the auction market
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 250 to 500 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
