I happen to come across a bag of 1930 dolls in a thrift store in Orlando, Florida while I was enjoying Disney World and I don’t know anything about these dolls.

Hi Carla,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is a Bharatanatyam dancer doll, modeled after performers who specialize in Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form that originated in the temples of Tamil Nadu, in South India. It is one of the oldest and most traditional styles of Indian dance, known for its grace, precision, expressive storytelling, and intricate footwork. Bharatanatyam dancers undergo rigorous training in movement, rhythm (nritta), expression (abhinaya), and storytelling through gestures (mudras). Training often begins at a young age and can take years to master. They typically wear brightly colored silk costumes, adorned with traditional jewelry and flowers in their hair. Their faces are highlighted with expressive makeup to emphasize the eyes and facial expressions, which are central to the dance.
Dolls such as this have a small niche audience; when similar ones have come to auction in recent years, they usually sell for less than $100.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
