Wooden box with fabric covering. Case is about 4 inches high. 12 inches in length by 6 1/2 inches. 489 written on the inside. Had this looked at by a personal property appraiser and she said it’s a 1930’s Gucci style game case and I want to confirm.
I found this at a thrift shop and picked it up since it is such high quality.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a decorative small game case of the 1970s, decorated with acetate fabric, enforced with faux leather or split leather that has been laminated with a polyurethane coating. The latches would be typical for the 1970s, same applies for the pressed plastic handle with faux stitching. The estimate is based on similar available in the trade.
