Unopened 1994 holiday Barbie special edition box has light wear
13”x12”
Hi Lindsay,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The 1994 Happy Holidays Barbie is one of the most iconic collector Barbies of the 1990s. The Happy Holidays Barbie line began in 1988, and Mattel released a new version every year. By 1994, the series had already gained a reputation among collectors for its high-quality, festive designs. Each doll was a limited production collector edition, designed for display rather than play, making them highly sought after by adult collectors.
The 1994 edition continued the tradition of commemorating holidays and gift-giving, solidifying Barbie’s role as a collector’s ornament-like doll, often displayed during the Christmas season.
While some Barbie websites and blogs declare this doll to be notably valuable (selling for hundreds of dollars), I've found several versions online currently for prices less than $200 and many for less than $100, even if in Mint-in-Box (MIB) condition.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
