Yes, that's correct. If sold separately, they'd be $700-1,100 for the women's and $800-1,400 for the men's

Hi Elena,
To complete your appraisal - and really any appraisal at Mearto - we look at other items that are as closely comparable as possible, WHAT they are selling for and - as important if not more important - WHERE and BY WHOM they are being sold. Because the values Mearto provides are FAIR MARKET and for auction purposes, there is a standard industry multiplier we use when we are using retail pricing. Comparable examples of your jerseys were selling (in retail settings) for $2,200 for the woman's jersey and $2,800 for the men's jersey.
My value range is pretty narrow already; if I lowered the high estimate and raised the low estimate it would lower your insurance values. I'm always hesitant to do that but as you're the client, I'm happy to do whatever you direct. In this case, I would put the women's jersey at CAD$800-1,000 and CAD$900-1,100 for the men's jersey. It would change the overall valuation for the two-piece kit to $1700-2,200, which would make the insurance value CAD$3,900.

Thank you so much for providing detailed information on the valuation process.
Given our situation as a small charity and the fact that the items are intended for a silent auction without insurance, having exact values is essential for our documentation, especially for issuing tax receipts to the winning bidder and we won't be able to issue a tax receipt based on a range unfortunately. If possible, could you please provide a specific FMV for each item rather than a range. Your understanding and assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Our software doesn't allow us to give just one value but a specific fair-market value would be the median of each range. In this case, CAD$900 for the women's jersey, CAD$1,000 for the men's jersey.

Hi Delia,
I've realized that we need to override the insurance valuation for this appraisal as well. We only require a FMV appraisal, an insurance appraisal is not necessary for our needs. Could you please assist me with this? Would be greatly appreciated.
