This is a vintage, later 20th century, dated 1971, original 10" x 15" oil on board painting by Utah-based, listed landscape and western genre artist, Valoy Eaton (b.1938). The work is entitled Winter Sun and depicts a farmstead in the snow on a sunny day. Eaton does tend to paint in much larger sizes than the dimension of the work here and the large sized works sell for significantly higher. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
