1930s or 1940s functioning circular brass electric lamp with original lampshade, two rings as handles, and a 6 foot cord. No identifying information, such as name or serial number. However, the swivel which connects the lampshade reads, "Berger swivel harp. PAT #2270497". Lamp is made out of solid brass, some minor corrosion in one spot. Lamp shade is made of a thick paper-like material with a greenish-blue water on rocks style pattern and gold trim. The lamp has a 36inch circumference at its widest point and stands 31 inches tall. The lampshade is 16inches in diameter, stands 14 inches tall, and has a 63 inch circumference. The rings are 3.5 inches in diameter. The power cord is 6 feet long. The lamp is in fine working condition.
A gift from my granduncle and grandaunt, Loren and Kathryn (nee Forster) Hanchett, in the 1990s. I believe they purchased it new in the 1930s or 1940s, possibly in Western Michigan.
