I have had this knife for many many years. The blade is 16-1/2 inches. The blade is straight on top and curved on the bottom being 2-1/2 inches at the widest. The handle may be wood or another hard material. I also have a wooden sheath (in two pieces) for the blade of the knife.
See above.
Dear Roy,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a sword with a wooden handle. The design of the sword and the handle indicate that this piece was made in South-East Asia in the late 19th or 20th century,
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 80 to 160 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Gregory
