Dear Timothy,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object is a Burmese dha sword with a total length of 37 inches. This sword was made in the 20th century out of steel, brass and wood. The surface and the especially the traces of a probable mechanic tool are a hint that this piece was made in the middle or second half of the 20th century.
I attach the following link for some background information (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dha_%28sword%29).
Such dha swords were recently offered and sold on the international and national auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
