Dear Betsy,
Thank you for your request. Please add the measurements and more detailed and focused images. Thanks.
With best regards,

Dear Mack,
Thank you for the additional images and your patience. The new pictures were not displayed regarding a technical issue and I ask for an excuse for the delay. This is a drawing with ink combined with watercolor on paper with the measurements of 14 x 10 3/4 inches. It depicts the train station area of a small town. The drawing is signed in the right corner with "Franklin Wright". The drawing is on the back side labeled with the signature, the location "Hyattsville" and the technique "Pen and ink (watercolor).
An estimation would be between 50 to 100 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
The artist is Frank Loyd Wright. The famous architect. The signiture is on the left. Are you sure you researched this correctly?
Dear Betsy,
there is no signature clearly visible on the images. Please send in detailed and high focused images of the signature on the roof. We can just work with the material you send in. Thank you.
With best regards,
Georg
Thank you Georg. I hope you can open this larger to view signature. It is in the lower left hand corner. Thank You.
Betsy
Dear Betsy,
This drawing sadly remains problematical. The arguments against Frank Loyd Wright as the artist of this drawings are:
- Frank Loyd Wright signs with "Frank Wright" or more often "Frank Loyd Wright". This signature is signed with "Franklin Wright".
- under the signature, we see a "50" which is the dating 1950. In 1950 Frank Loyd Wright was a trained and professional draftsman. Especially the depiction of the buildings in this drawing are barely correlating with the drawings of Frank Loyd Wright.
- The label on the back side of the drawing is damaged exactly at the place of the last name of the artist.
I am sorry for this bad news.
With best regards,
Georg
