Beautiful, very large woolly mammoth tusk fossil, approximately 50,000 years old, from Yakutia, Siberia. Purchased from the Harrods Antique and Fine Furniture department in 2004 by my father, Mr. John Day. Certificate of authenticity provided, showing a ticket price of £19,500 and a special price of £16,000. My understanding is that high-quality mammoth tusks such as these have increased in value over the past two decades, and therefore I would like to have it revalued for insurance purposes.
90cm x 115cm is the width and height as per the photo, but perhaps I need to measure the actual curvature of the tusk (which is longer)?
