Description

We have a secretary style writing desk. It sports the CC41 stamp.

Provenance

Handed down from Grandmother. It seems to be a bit of a rarity, I can not find anything similar to it when searching for CC41 furniture.

What does this mean?

Very decorative piece of furniture, desk with shelves, from around 1890-1910. The carvings are in the typical 1900s style with motifs from the nature. Unfortunately there are not that many collectors for this particular type of furniture.

Not quite. The CC41 stamp I mentioned in the description should place it as post war 1941 - 1943, no? Not that it would have any impact on the desirability or price, probably less in fact but the store of Community Commonwealth furniture is a good one to go with it.
