This lamp has a datk brown "engineered" mother of pearl design on the surface of the lamp. There is also a matching finial. It is 25 inches tall, 8 inches wide and 5 inches depth.
This came from the estate of a person with a huge collection of older lampslamps.

I feel guilty. When I bought it, I just assumed it was some sort of simulated, tile or tortoise-like item. How unenlightened we can be, but I gues since it was 100 years ago, it is not quite as bad as if it were contemporary. Just a blink for some poor tortoise.
