A stand or table with a carved top and triangular base
29 April 2021
Description

This is adetailed carved stand or table. The carving has flowers and scrolld and a man's face in the center. He appears to be dressed in old Middle Eastern clothing. The piece measures 19x14 at the top and 23 inches tall. The true base, the triangle measures 8x9 inches. There is a piece of wood affixed to the bottom for some reason that measures 23 inches wide. The carved portion of the wood at the top is octohonal and there is a thin pice of glass that covers the carving. Not sure about the type of wood. There are small screw underneath the top that hold the glass in place. The base unscrews from the coarse piece of wood as one unit. I think it was attached to stabalize the table but is super ugly. I think thi is really a curio. I bought this at an antique store that auctioned off pieces last weekend. I like it.

You always find such fun things!
