This abstract painting is titled on the back of the canvas” Kimno” there is a date 10/19 but no year? All are numbered but I only have part of the numbered paintings. Well done painting that I am sure is oil. Signature on the front and back but it is still hard to make out.

Hello, this item is a contemporary abstract mixed media or oil-based composition on canvas, likely late 20th to early 21st century, combining gestural brushwork with layered textures and graphic linear elements. The palette, with strong contrasts between dark blue, red accents, ochre, and exposed ground, reflects a decorative abstraction rather than a clearly defined school or recognized movement. The inscription on the reverse reading “Kimono” and the date “10/19” suggest a modern titling and dating practice, most likely 2019 rather than an earlier period. The signature, visible both front and back, remains illegible and cannot be securely attributed to a known listed artist, which is critical for market positioning. The work appears to be part of a series, but without full documentation or a known artist, that does not materially increase value.
From a market perspective, contemporary abstract works by unidentified artists are valued primarily for visual impact and interior use rather than collectability. Comparable works of similar size and style typically sell in the $100 to $300 USD range in secondary markets such as local galleries and online platforms. Given the stronger composition and the fact it belongs to a group, this example sits slightly above the lower tier. A fair market value is $150 to $300 USD.
