I inherited this piece of art from my grandmother. There are actually two similar pieces. I suspect she acquired them in the 1950's or 60's. It appears to be a drawn figure with watercolor or guache over painted. The size of the actual painting is about 8" by 6 1/4". I am unable to locate a signature. They are nicely matted and framed. There is a pencil mark on the back 7111-2.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the huge delay with the appraisal
The presented object appears to be mixed-media artwork on paper with the measurements of 8 x 6 1/2 inches. The drawing depicts a dancing nude in front of an abstract colorful composition. There is no signature visible and the artist is not identifiable with the arguments of style or composition. The motif is inspired by artworks like Matisse but was probably made by a not academical educated artist in the second half of the 20th century.
Works by this artist were recently not offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
