Italian Accordion circa 1940's
My Mother had acquired it in the 40's
Hi Alfred,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
These vintage accordions are lovely but unfortunately, there is not much of a market for them, regardless of condition, form or history. I've checked recent prices here (https://www.liveauctioneers.com/search/?keyword=castelfidardo%20accordion&page=1&pageSize=24&sort=-relevance&status=archive), which has been useful in determining the value for this.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Paolo Soprani ivory and mother-of-pearl accordion
made in Castelfidardo, Italy, circa 1930s-40s
with original fitted case
(DIMENSIONS)
CONDITION: not examined in person but appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: acquired in the 1940s
$200-300*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
Thanks, Alfred, you're all set.
I do not find any Numbers or markings. It does have it's original case.
