A wooden frame with the map of adventure outlook store and wooded geckos
Hi Rene,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost map was created by cartographer David Lindroth in 1995. It was designed as part of the promotional material for the Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye attraction, which opened at Disneyland on March 3, 1995.
The map serves as a stylized guide to the fictional world surrounding the attraction, blending adventure, archaeology, and mystery themes in line with the Indiana Jones franchise. It features intricate details, hidden symbols, and references to the ride's story, adding depth to the immersive experience for park visitors.
While there were countless thousands of these maps printed on paper and sold at Disneyland, they are now worth very modest sums, less than $50.
Your map is made of different material - some kind of plastic; along with the frame with inserted gecko mat, which sets yours apart from others, this has a value of $150-250.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

So this is not a paper map?
Is it possible to take a close-up photo through the frame's glass that shows what I'm looking at? The value might need to be changed...
Thanks!
Delia
Yes I have taken a few!
Thank you for taking the time to look into this! The map it self is made from a thick plastic material not like the standard map they sold at the kiosk! Would the affect where it was sold?
