The large painted eyes of this mask suggest it was made by the Suku people of Central Africa (southwest Democratic Republic of the Congo and northwest Angola).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Central African carved and polychromed wood mask
Probably Suku culture, Central African, first half 20th Century
The elongated facial form with high forehead, large oval eyes painted in red and white, flattened nose and pursed lips.
18 inches high, 9 inches wide
CONDITION: This mask appears to be in good age-appropriate condition with some minor age cracks.
