Exceptional Great-Lakes Region Agate
25 February 2023
Description

I found a agatized Human Fingertip on private property in Minnesota. It has a fingernail, fingerprint, and it's a perfect match with a cross section diagram of a human fingertip. I cannot get pictures to load, I can send pictures via email once someone responds. I will give a link to my utube channel that has a slideshow if the fingertip below. https://youtu.be/gkqd9CK8-Yk

What does this mean?

An exceptional possible fossil find. Though I do believe it may be a case of suspecting what the item is and then assigning the coincidental attributes to it. A causation to fit perceived evidence, but it is uncanny as the x-ray images do match your researched anatomy structures. The geological transformations of the Great-Lakes Region could make a specimen like this viable, but extremely rare. If a pre-historic human artifact was discovered; I do not believe it would be free of a surrounding rock matrix. The rescinding of the icecaps occurred up until about six thousand years ago. Preserved remains become fossils if they reach an age of about 10,000 years; and these geological shifts do fall in that time range. Agate; a composition of quartz and iron ore can create very unique patterns, forms, and coloration. Unique pieces are often sought after for gem collections and use in lapidary work. I have given this example a fair market price assessment based on the item being agate and untested for organisms. Measurements: approximately 1 inch x 1 inch; unknown weight. I would suggest contacting a regional university or museum for additional consultation to assess your specimen. What you have provided here is thorough, but an in-person evaluation will give a higher percent of accuracy in identifying your find. Working with a research facility; a further evaluation would be significantly higher. If it is a human artifact it may not have a sale value as much as an insurance value associated. It is important to recognize local, state, and US federal laws and prohibitions of sale and shipment of Fossil, Paleontology, and Pre-history human artifacts.

Things I believe you may not be aware, also things you are correct about. I am very familiar with LS Agates , and very knowledgeable in N.E. Minnesotas geology here. I've lived here for 43 years, and have been collecting rocks and other minerals 25 years. I am probably more knowledgeable on this areas true geology than most with years of college.
And I myself am certain this is a fingertip that turned to stone. The Area I found it was the perfect conditions long ago for such a rare occurrence to take place. I can use agates as an example to explain why it is not in a matrix with another rock. The same reason most agates are not found in a matrix. I will have to have patience, and let science catch up with the times, for this fossil to be excepted and varification on it.
Things are changing on all aspects of geology. As it turns out, what they thought they knew, was not all correct. biology can account for much of rocks and gemstones..
With a planet like earth, that's billions of years old. And teaming with life since who knows how long everywhere.? The bodies of these creatures must cover the planet, and one ontop another would stack up thick. And geology being more complex than previously imagined. The great flood that also occured along with other catastrophic events. Most everything on surface could likely have originated from biology.
In a closed system having no place other to go. The dead tend to pile up and blanket the surface of the closed system. We tend to think we have answers, being human we assume things and with logical way of explaining it all. And what happens, a theory is submitted and peer reviewed.
When theory passes this peer review and is accepted, Next it is published scientific research and evidence, presumed actual knowledge suitable for teaching.
With that said, this process has been holding back much evidence such as this specimen, and others from the being further examined and entered in the data records.
How then can geology be understood fully? Sure Valcanos erupt with lava and plumes of gas and ash. The education system gives all the answers with such certainty as fact. But there's no option for a student to find the answer for questions themselves during the coarse a students schooling mostly.
This is worth far more than a ordinary agate. And agates are all from biology in origin. Petrified wood, biology... So are agates . Quart's, Jasper, Opals, Diamonds, Sapphires, etc.... all biology undergone transformation by Nuclearpholic Substitution process for most. ( exception on process for a few) IMO. And many others as well. Don't get me wrong. I agree with some of what is being taught today. But I am certain they miss understand more than they know. Today there's studies done that prove rocks and fossils can occur very rapidly. Minerals found in a 80 year old water pipe nearly blocked the passage forming in bands of rings same as a agate. If you research into Mudfossiles and Roger Spurr on Utube or anywhere online you'll be surprised how misunderstood this subject has been so far.
Thanks again for your Appraisal and info. I've tried every University I could find, and every expert as well. None wanted to see this or even give it a chance as a possibility at all. With everything I have shown that all point to it being a human fingertip turned stone. (c'mon the diagram comparison alone can't be a coincidence, and with the rest Nail, print, color, size, appearance, etc!)!!!! All add up... Science, and academics do not care apparently to teach truth in history, or geology what so ever...
It's a fraudulent and a crime really to continue teaching students, when science ignores and turns away from such possible evidence as this, without examination don't you agree? Thanks again.
