Thanks
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful bracelet. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The design of the cuff is quite extraordinary and special as well as the decorations on the cuff. The bracelet was made as a souvenir jewellery and I believe you are quite right about the age of the bracelet that it dates from the 1930s-1940s.
However I am not quite sure about the material of the bracelet. I don't recognise the mark as a silver mark, and from the photos the silver looks slightly worn off in some areas, however that could also be due to lack of polishing and the silver being tarnished. The estimate given is for the cuff made of sterlingsilver. In order to have that confirmed you may have to have it tested by a silversmith.
It is a special cuff bracelet made for a certain market 80-90 years ago and it will attract the attention of collectors of souvenirs if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the bracelet cuff has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the bracelet cuff. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Hello Sabrina,
I have added some new photos with the only markings available on the cuff bracelet (the star etching on the bracelet interior)
