Alice Nampitjinpa Painting I collected when we bought the neighbours home (everything in the house was kept for the sale). I think it is worth quite a lot of money. It is very colourful - brown, yellow and white - earthy colours with brown balls in the middle with lines around them on the side. Lovely painting. It is on a canvas and is 81x161

The lovely lady who sold us her house had it in storage, she said some of them (especially this one) would be worth a considerable amount of money. I am very excited to see what it is worth. I would love to have the painting in my home, but I think I could do with the money at this stage in my life (I am only 27!)
Dear Jack,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be an Aboriginal art painting made in probably acryl paint on canvas with 131 x 81cm measurements. The painting depicts an abstract motif in yellow and brown. It was created and signed by the Australian artist Alice NAMPITJINPA (1945-2005).
Comparable objects were recently often offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1.000 to 1.800 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
