It is a beautiful amber and sterling set. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
This type of design with silver and amber was very popular in Europe in the 1940s, 50s and early 60s. The amber comes in many colour variations and clarities and the amber in your set looks really nice. It is also a nice fact that you have a complet set which will attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
As many designers made the same type of design it is difficult to say anything about a possible designer without having seen any makers marks on the pieces. My guess is that it is made of sterling silver by and English silversmith.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the silver and amber set has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the set. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
