Hello Heidi,
I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,
Considering the photographs, overall pattern, material quality and the colours, I concluded that this is possibly an Amber pendant place in a Silver Sterling metal body to be used a necklace charm. The amber is shaped as a trapezoid as well as the metal body. The inclusions and particuls inside the amber indicates that the amber might be authentic but some bubbles inside the piece is to be examined and only this examination can certify it's authenticity as a Baltic Amber. This trapezoidal design was not very popular or sought after back in the 1970's or before, therefore the piece dates between the period 1980-2010. The silver sterling is tested by the customer and is authentic. It's ball is shaped as a semi-sphere. The piece is in good condition without any visible faults.
Possibly Baltic Amber.
Dimensions: Unknown
