Hi Ms Zeledon,
Unfortunately I can only say that is Baltic amber, the most famous location is
Konigsberg.
The Baltic region is responsible for roughly 80–90% of the world's amber supply. The amber is believed to have originated from the deltas of the Sambia Peninsula, where it was swept into shallow waters by streams and rivers. Millions of years ago, glaciers helped the amber reach Poland, and when the Baltic Sea formed, the amber remained on the sea bed. Once the Baltic Sea merged with the Atlantic, the saltwater caused the amber to float.
Many thanks
Jonty
Hi, thanks for the appraisal. One question. Do you know what type of amber this is?
