Greetings and thank you for calling upon the experts at Mearto to evaluate your oil on canvas painting by Franz Ambrasath (1889 - 1974). You father has excellent taste! The artist is well known for his nautical compositions and this is the type of painting by him seen most frequently at auction.
Works like yours are offered an average of two to three per year and currently sell between $200USD and $300USD. I'd like to mention that currently his overall market value is down from a couple of years ago (2008 - 2010) where there were additional results between $550 and $800USD. I think this bears mentioning because the work is so good.
