Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful amethyst pendant and necklace. Such vintage jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The necklace has a lovely design, the 18 kt gold on sterlingsilver with an amethyst and smaller diamonds surrounding it. The way the stones are set indicates that it is a piece of jewellery from the middle of the 1900s. The colours of both the amethyst and the smaller diamonds are good however not top quality. All in all it is a nice necklace with no signs of use or wear.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the amethyst necklace has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the necklace. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Your item will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform. However if it is a set of 3 or more pieces of jewellery the value will increase.

I do have several other pieces that go with it. What would the process be to have you handle the sale? How long does it usually take?
I have 3 other pieces that go with the necklace that I must it appraised as well. How shall I go about selling these pieces. Does your company make offers to purchase?
