The auction I purchased this from said it is an Andrew Gunderson Landscape Pastel. It is in a frame with glass, the frame is very old with torn black paper on the back. The painting is on a very thin board (not canvas). It has some small damage the the bottom from a nail holding the back into the frame (picture will show). My reason for sending this to you, is that it has Andrew Gunderson signed on the bottom right as a full name. I read that he signed A. Gunderson or Gunderson but I do not see where a full name was signed. I also read that he numbered his paintings on the back and this one does not have anything on the back that I could see.

Hello, this item is a landscape pastel attributed to Andrew Gunderson, an artist known for late nineteenth and early twentieth century American woodland scenes. The work shows a sunlit path bordered by tall trees and rendered in layered pastel to create depth and atmospheric light. The signature on the lower right matches the style of Gunderson’s later signatures, although he commonly signed with initials or abbreviated forms. The piece is executed on a thin board, which is consistent with some period pastels, and it sits in a heavily carved gilt frame that shows age and wear.
The value depends on secure attribution and condition. Gunderson’s authenticated landscapes usually sell between 300 and 800 USD depending on size and detail. This piece has decorative appeal, though the lack of numbering on the back and the inconsistent signature format make the attribution uncertain.
