This is about 4' H by 2'W. Possibly cast iron. Not sure about much else, but it still works as far as I know.
Came with business I purchased
This is an antique, late 19th century cast iron foot pedal driven binder equipment by Frederick Peter Rosback. Rosback, born in 1846, grew up in Springfield. Illinois and as an aside, was neighbors with none other than Abraham Lincoln. After the Civil War Rosback started in the machinist trade, first with the Northwestern Railroad and then inventing for McCormick Harvester Company. He established his own company in 1881. This machine was patented in 1888 and it is a perforator for binding books that also needed perforated paper such as checks, stamps and stock certificates. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
I attached more pics. The last one is with the flash on.
Please add a more clear, in-focus image of the maker name cast in the metal.
