This piece has been in my collection for 45 years. Design: Features the famous "camel neck" curved stock, designed to be fired comfortably from horseback or braced against the shoulder. The wood is decorated with silver/brass studs and traditional metal barrel bands (capucines). Mechanism: This is an antique flintlock or percussion style mechanism (now deactivated). It is sold strictly as a non-firing decorative antique. Condition: The wood and metal show a beautiful aged character. Antique 19th Century Omani Silver Khanjar Dagger – Handcrafted Filigree This is a fine example of a traditional Omani Khanjar, a ceremonial dagger iconic to the Arabian Peninsula. I have personally owned this piece for 45 years. Construction: The scabbard features the classic "L" shape typical of Omani craftsmanship, heavily adorned with intricate silver wire filigree and silver bands. Hilt: The handle (hilt) appears to be carved from dark wood or horn and is decorated with silver pins and ornaments. Condition: Good antique condition with a natural aged patina. No modern restoration has been performed, preserving its historical integrity. Note: This is a decorative antique and a significant piece of Middle Eastern cultural heritage.
