Beautiful Tiffany style brass and marble floor lamp marked on bottom see pictures
5ft high +~ with 8 x 8 base
Hi Joseph,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The mark on the bottom - "E666 Pat App..." isn't complete enough to make an attribution but I can tell this was made in either the US or England in the late 19th Century.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique late Victorian / aesthetic movement bronze and marble floor lamp
unattributed American or English maker, late 19th Century
Surmounted by a cast bronze arm with stylized figures raised on a standard with a stylized leaf or feather, two cylindrical marble sections, three circular marble elements, on a stepped white marble and cast bronze base. Underside of the base reads "E666 Pat App--"
60 inches high, base: 8 by 8 inches
CONDITION: Lacks head, some oxidation and pitting to the bronze. In as-found condition.
PROVENANCE: Acquired at auction
$ 300-500*
