Antique cabinet early American passed down from great great grandfather.
This is a circa 1900, late Victorian era, 'side-by-side' combination desk, secretary and display unit. These were quite popular in homes in the United States from about 1890 - 1910 and the vast majority were sold through the Sears and Roebuck catalogue at that time. Late Victorian furniture is currently slumped on the market as the design trend is for Mid-Century Modern styles. Victorian furniture is selling for considerably less than it did a few decades ago and was further impacted since the Recession. The estimate is based on actual past recorded auction sales of comparables.
