Dear Nancy,
Thank you for the additional images and your patience. The apprised object is a bench made out of mahogany wood in the late 19th or 20th century. The bench has the measurements of 38" high, 75" long and 28" deep. Stylistically this bench is orientated to furniture of the Empire period. The armrests are built out of carved griffins. While the front legs are made out the lion front part of the griffon, the connection to the backrest is made with widespread wings. The carving itself is made in a middle range quality as you can see in the little details especially the feathers and the claw feet. This bench was probably made for a representative entrance hall.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 1000 to 2000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
I don't completely understand your request but I will give closer photos of the feet. I have the bench sitting on some moving 4 wheeler. Thank you
