Based on the photographs and information provided, this is a Victorian carved walnut (or rosewood) and velvet upholstered settee (not a chaise longue), mid to late 19th century.
This is a handsome piece but there is, unfortunately, not much demand for this style or form of furniture on the market at present. Similar settees are selling at auction these days in the $250-350 range.
