I don't know anything about the chest. My Great Uncle was a world traveler and it apparently came from Thailand.

A vintage Asian Export carved teakwood or camphor blanket chest
made for the Western export market, mid/late 20th Century
The hinged top and sides relief carved with landscape scenes with figures, open interior, all raised on short bracket feet. Unmarked.
24 inches high, 40 inches long
CONDITION: This blanket chest appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
