Circa 1900. Beautiful porcelain face. Eyes open and close. Soft body. Moveable arm and wrist joints and neck. Original undergarments and shoes. I’m thinking very good condition for her age. Has one broken index fingertip. I inherited her in 1990 from a great aunt who died at age 90 and had her since she was a little girl.
About 20 inches tall
Hi Dana,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
DEP "Santa" dolls are a specific type of antique bisque doll marked with the term "Santa," which was used by the German doll manufacturer Simon & Halbig in collaboration with Kämmer & Reinhardt. These dolls were produced primarily in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and are among the most sought-after by collectors due to their quality, charm, and historical significance.
When other DEP Santa dolls of comparable size have come to auction in recent months and years, they typically sell for between $250-450.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

Thank you for the appraisal Delia. I’m interested in selling the doll. I also have two other dolls about the same vintage I would like to have appraised and possibly sell. How do I proceed? I’m new at this. Thanks for your help! Dana
I'm happy to help!
If the appraisal for this doll is marked "for sale" with a "public" status, it is already on Mearto's marketplace and you may receive offers from interested buyers (You're not obligated to accept any of them).
I can't see the status of either for this so if you can't see the status, or can't change them, let me know and I'll ask our Client Service dept to update the appraisal for you.
If you have other dolls you want to sell, the first step would be to have them appraised under new individual appraisals - the process for starting those should be the same as this one.
If you want other selling options than Mearto's marketplace please let me know and I'll give you some other choices.
Have a great evening,
Delia
Hello Delia!
Thanks for your reply. I did find the name on the back of the head, took a photo and added it to the picture collection. I hope this comes through. I’m new to this application. The inscription on the back of the head says DCP GERMANY SANTA 11. Does this help you determine a value?
Thank you!
Dana
