Hi I inherited this antique drinking set and know nothing further about it. The shot glasses and decanters just say "France" on them

Hi AJ,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The embossed gilt armorial on the lid of this box is the Greater Coat of Arms of Denmark, which has been used to represent the monarch personally or in very official capacities (e.g., on royal seals or state documents). The red background and gold embossing likely indicate this was a high-status presentation or ceremonial object, such as a royal document case, gift box, or state presentation folder.
From the style of this box, it looks like it was made in the 19th Century; at the time, French-made glass was considered the epitome of luxury so if this was a gift from the Danish royal family, it's understandable that they would have sought out the best materials.
The set appears to be complete, with two decanters and six glasses; most boxed sets such as this usually don't sell at auction for more than $200; having the royal armorial on the cover boosts its value to $400-6000 but if there was a history as to how it came into your family's possession, it could go even higher.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
