Wicht 12-string mandolin
I am not sure what kind of instrument this is. It is 26" long and 7" at the widest point at the base. It measures 5.5" tall at the bottom.It has a label on it that says, "The Up To Date". Under the strings it says, "The Up To Date Method, patent applied for". and "D.GOTTDINER & WICHT Cleveland, Oh." I did find a blurb on the web that shows D.Gottdiner & Wicht sold instruments in Cleveland, OH
I inherited this from a friend who also inherited it from her friend who was in the vaudeville circuit as a young woman.
