persian turquoise ring. Large oval in central setting surrounded by 12 smaller oval turquoise stones in unkown setting (unsure if its gold).
My great grandmother owned an antique shop in London in the 1940s. The ring came from there.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely vintage gold and turquoise ring. The design and materials of the ring indicates that it was made around 1930s-1950s. I am quite sure that the material is 14 kt yellow gold but without any stamps or marks it is difficult to determine. This would have to be tested to be certain. The ring appears to be in fairly good condition with only minor signs of use and wear.
I believe that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the turquoise gold ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely unique ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
