Hi PayPay,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The signature on the inside looks like "Smousm", which neither makes much sense nor comes up with anything when I use that - or a combination of similar letters - into an online search.
These birds were often made in Italy - I've found similar examples catalogued as Italian but without maker information. Based on its size, this is comparable to ones that have brought prices ranging from $75-225 at auction.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage hand-painted porcelain parrot
Probably Italian, mid 20th Century
The naturalistically rendered parrot crouched on a branch with its beak open, highlighted with pink wing feathers. Signed indistinctly underneath the base.
Height: 12-1/2 inches
CONDITION: This appears to be in good condition; value assumes no breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Acquired from a gallery or dealer
$ 75-225*
