The history was my husbands Grandmother’s ring was given to me by my husband we’re married 23 years not together anymore was my engagement ring

It is a beautiful ring. Such antique rings and jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The ring has a very special design and the style is typical of the early 1900s when this type of jewellery was popular. The way the rubys are cut and put together also points towards this era. As for the value you look at the materials when appraising antique jewellery and 9 kt gold is the lowest gold value that you use for jewellery, usually 14 kt is used and when jewellery is really expensive 18 kt is used. The ruby stones are nice and with a good colour and lovely cut and sizes. They are almost as dark as garnet stones which makes me wonder if they are garnet stones or ruby stones. The appraisal is for a ring with ruby stones.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Thank you for the additional information - I certainly understand why you would want to sell the ring and rid youself of the memories attached to it.
As for the carat of the gold I cannot get any closer and I guess it would have to be tested by a goldsmith in order to clarify the carat. The ruby stones have a lovely colour to them and the additional photos shows it much better. As for the gc it may be the makers mark however this is also unclear and rubbed off after use and wear.
The estimate stays the same however it may be a ring that would surprise at auction, especially if the carat is 14 instead of 9 .

Your ring will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform.

I really appreciate Sabrina in you helping me with my ring .. I noticed that it has gc inside the rim but I’m not really sure if it’s 9 or 14 it’s rubbed off ... I took another pic of ring which shows the red the phone I was using just couldn’t get it right ... there’s no sentimental value as my x husband put me threw a lot of domestic violence so I need to close this chapter ... thank you kindly :.)
