antique silver card case
london silver market
Dear Bernd,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please name the weight of this card case.
Thanks
Dear Bernd,
Thank you for the additional images and your patience. Regarding a technical problem, your message was not displayed. I excuse for the delay. The apprised object is a silver card case with a carved decor and a leather inlay. The silver is hallmarked as 925 Sterling silver and was made by the silversmith Deakin & Francis in the year 1896 in Birmingham.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 100 to 250 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
