Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful sterlingsilver flatware set. Such flatware sets are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The flatware has a lovely decoration that was often used in the early 1900s. The flatware set appears to be in very good condition with only minor signs of wear and use and no engravings. The fact that there is 12 of each piece is very good for a potential buyer/dealer as it is considered complete. I guess there are approximately 65-70 parts all together with the serving pieces. The original box adds to the value and also appears to be in good condition. I cannot read the marks clearly and cannot see if there is a manufacturers logo or name stamped on the handles too.
I believe that this lovely sterlingsilver flatware set would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online silver auction, where I believe the flatware has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely flatware. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
