Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely old vintage teddy bear. Such vintage teddy bears are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The teddy bear has no marks or any other labels which can tell the manufacturer of the teddybear. It could be made in the US where there was a large production of soft toys during the middle 1900s. It appears to have minor signs of wear and use and a tiny hole which would be expected from a teddy bear from the 1950s-1960s. The mohair fur has a lovely honey colour and the design of the teddybear with the long slim limbs is typical of this particular era. As for the button in the middle of the chest it may be for a growl however I would need to see better pictures of this button.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the teddybear has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the teddybear. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
